Sale Cancel Reason improves the standard Odoo Sales workflow by requiring users to select a cancellation reason before cancelling a Quotation or Sales Order.

Instead of cancelling orders without any explanation, users must choose a predefined reason from a list. The selected reason is then saved on the Sales Order, making it easy to understand why an order was cancelled and providing a clear audit trail.

The module works seamlessly with the standard Sales application and requires very little configuration.

⚙️ Installation

1. Copy the sale_cancel_reason module into your Odoo addons directory.
2. Update the Apps List.

1. Click Create.
2. Enter the cancellation reason.
3. Save the record.
4. Repeat for additional reasons if needed.

❌ Cancel a Sales Order

Sales → Orders → Quotations

Sales → Orders → Sales Orders

Steps

1. Open a Quotation or Sales Order.
2. Click Cancel.
3. The Cancel Reason wizard opens.
4. Select the appropriate cancellation reason.
5. Click Confirm.
6. The order is cancelled and the selected reason is saved.
