💳 Account Payment Mode

📖 Overview

Every business uses different payment methods such as Bank Transfer, Cash, Cheque, UPI, Credit Card, or Online Payment. Managing these payment methods consistently is important for accurate accounting and efficient payment processing.

Account Payment Mode allows you to create reusable payment modes, configure them for inbound and outbound payments, and associate them with bank journals and bank accounts. Once configured, these payment modes can be used throughout the Accounting application.

Accounting → Configuration → Payment Modes

• Create unlimited payment modes.
• Configure inbound and outbound payment methods.
• Activate or deactivate payment modes.
• Centralized payment method management.

🏦 Configure Bank Journals

Assign a default bank journal and bank account to each payment mode.

This helps ensure every payment uses the correct accounting journal.

🔄 Separate Incoming & Outgoing Payments

Configure different payment modes for customer receipts and vendor payments.

Examples:

• Customer Bank Transfer
• Vendor Bank Transfer
• Cash Payment
• UPI Payment

⚙️ Easy Configuration

The module integrates with Odoo Accounting and requires minimal setup.

⚙️ Installation

1. Copy the account_payment_mode module into your addons directory.
2. Update Apps List.
3. Install Account Payment Mode.

📖 Usage

Create a Payment Mode

📍 Menu Navigation

Accounting → Configuration → Payment Modes

1. Click Create.
2. Enter the payment mode name.
3. Select payment type.
4. Select bank journal.
5. Save.
